Barebones Biology... in Pursuit of Truth

Biology: A Reality Overview

At the simplest level biology is defined as a branch of knowledge that deals with living organisms and vital processes. Most biology courses then proceed with a logical and descriptive overview  of organisms and processes at a rather low level of academic intensity.

Many scientists maintain there is no absolute truth, yet vigorously defend theories about the origin and development of life as defined by Darwin and others as absolutely true, even though the concepts are based on speculation and unsupported hypothesis.

The philosophical nature of this course is to observe the marvelous complexity of living things, explore the various scientific models which account fot what is observed, then leave the final choice of which model is most scientifically logical to the learner.

Choosing Courage to Explore

Biology is unique among the sciences in that it brings conflict between opposing points of view about the origin and nature of life. Creation versus evolution, intelligent design or naturalism... conflicts abound and often create divisions that seemingly can't be bridged.

It's important to understand

Choosing Courage to Think

As noted in the definition above, biology addresses the nature of vital processes. THINKING is certainly one of the most important vital processes in humans, the most complex living organism.

We have no hidden agenda in this course. It is simply our purpose to approach legitimate questions of science in an open and intensive manner. Approach the following video in that manner. Listen and watch with an open mind. Seek answers to important questions.

Watch with notebooking in mind. Write... draw... research... think!

Information, thinking and life join in an amazing harmony.
